We must speak with one voice against those who would divide us

As a Muslim activist and founder of the “We Are Many: United Against Hate” movement, I applaud FBI Assistant Director for Counterterrorism Michael McGarrity’s recent testimony to the House Committee on Homeland Security.

I am glad to see the word “domestic terrorism” used by the FBI in situations where the shooter is not a Muslim.

I am very pleased to report that today (Friday, May 3, 2019) at the FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC, I received a prestigious National 2018 Director’s Community Leadership Award from FBI Director Christopher Wray (Attachment 1).
The award recognizes our Movement.
I would personally like to thank my Board; dedicated volunteers; diverse community leaders/members; elected officials; law enforcement officers’ and media for their full support, cooperation and dedication. My special thanks to my family members, particularly my wife for her full support for my community engagements.
